September in Canada can present challenging racing conditions on Lake Ontario at PCYC. Last year at the 2016 NA Championship, wind varied from 5-25 knots, testing skill in a range of conditions. This year lighter air is being experienced, often an even tougher test of skill.

PCYC is well known on Lake Ontario and around the world for its high calibre race committee. RC Chair is Pat Lymburner, Principal Race Officer and Member of the Board of Directors at CORK/Sail Kingston, with 40 years of race committee operation under his belt. Paul Clissold, also a PCYC member and veteran race officer is the Deputy Race Officer for the regatta.

American Stephen Wrigley is the Chief Judge, and one of the most highly experienced Judges in the sailing world. He has a team of experienced jurists, and a few jurists-in-training who will help make the protest process smooth and hopefully painless for competitors.
